Historijski pogledi, čiji je izdavač Centar za istraživanje moderne i savremene historije Tuzla je pokrenut s ciljem pružanja dodatnog poticaja razvoju historijske nauke u Bosni i Hercegovini, osobito u proučavanju i istraživanju pitanja koja su vezana za modernu i savremenu historiju, kao i stvaranju novog prostora za objavljivanje rezultata istraživanja iz oblasti historiografije, kako afirmiranim historičarima tako i mladim istraživačima, polaznicima postdiplomskih i doktorskih studija, profesorima historije, ali i drugim stručnjacima srodnih nauka koji mogu ponuditi radove u skladu sa naučnim i stručnim standardima časopisa. Historijski pogledi pokrenuti su temeljem svijesti da historijskoj nauci treba osigurati povoljniji status u naučnom životu Bosne i Hercegovine te u bosanskohercegovačkom društvu uopće, uključujući potrebu afirmacije historijskih uvida kao važne pretpostavke humanizacije društvenih odnosa u Bosni i Hercegovini i na prostoru bivše jugoslavenske države.
Glavni kriterij za objavljivanje radova u Historijskim pogledima jeste njihova naučna i stručna utemeljenost i kvalitet. Redakcija će rado objavljivati članke iz različitih historijskih područja, od političke, kulturne, privredne, vojne do intelektualne historije, od lokalnih tema do pitanja nacionalnog, regionalnog i šireg značaja. Struktura časopisa obuhvata članke, prikaze, izvještaje i aktivnosti Centra za istraživanje moderne i savremene historije Tuzla. Časopis Historijski pogledi izlazi dva puta godišnje. Pratit će i objavljivati radove koji budu izlagani na naučnim konferencijama u okviru Naučnog projekta “Historijski pogledi”.
Svi istraživački članci dostavljeni redakciji prolaze kroz strog proces naučne provere zasnovan na inicijalnom pregledu u redakciji i dve anonimne spoljne recenzije. Radovi se objavljuju na bosanskom, hrvatskom i srpskom jeziku (latinicom) i engleskom jeziku.
Časopis se nalazi u režimu otvorenog pristupa (Open Access Journal). Časopis je u cijelosti dostupan bez ograničenja, te dozvoljava autorima da objave završnu verzjiu rada u PDF formatu u repozitorij ustanove odnosno nekomercijalnu bazu.

Autori se moraju pridržavati tehničkih uputstava za priređivanje teksta, Čikaškog stila citiranja i etičkih principa objavljivanja radova. U suprotnom, radovi će biti odbijeni ili naknadno povučeni. Vrijeme koje je potrebno da prođe od postupka podnošenja rada do konačne objave u časopisu je četiri do pet mjeseci.
Treća lica mogu da koriste članak iz časopisa na način koji nije utvrđen Uređivačkom politikom i odredbama Creative Commons licence samo ako za to dobiju pisanu saglasnost izdavača časopisa (zahtjeve slati na elektronsku adresu redakcije, odnosno cimoshis@gmail.com).
Članci objavljeni u časopisu mogu se besplatno preuzeti sa web stranice časopisa i koristiti u skladu sa Creative Commons – Attribution – NonCommercial-NoDerivs 4.0 International licencom (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/).
Časopis Historijski pogledi ne naplaćuje Submission Charge ni Article Processing Charge, odnosno, postupak predavanja rukopisa, recenzija i objavljivanje radova su besplatni.
Published by the Center for Research of Modern and Contemporary History, Tuzla Historical Views was launched to provide additional impetus to the development of historical science in Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly in the study and exploration of issues related to modern and contemporary history, as well as in creating a new space for publication of research findings in the field of historiography, both to established historians and young researchers, to postgraduate and doctoral students, to professors of history, but also to other experts in related sciences who can offer papers in accordance with scientific and professional standards of the journal. Historical Views have been raised on the awareness that historical science should be given a more favorable status in the scientific life of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in Bosnian society in general, including the need to affirm historical insights as an important precondition for the humanization of social relations in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the territory of the former Yugoslav state.
The main criterion for publishing works in Historical Views is their scientific and professional foundation and quality. The editorial board will be happy to publish articles from various historical fields, from political, cultural, economic, military, intellectual history, from local topics to issues of national, regional and broader significance. The structure of the journal includes articles, reviews, reports and activities of the Center for Research of Modern and Contemporary History of Tuzla. The Historical Views journal is published semi-annually. He will follow and publish papers presented at scientific conferences within the framework of the Scientific project Historical Views.
All research articles submitted to the editorial staff go through a rigorous scientific review process based on initial editorial review and two anonymous external reviews. The papers are published in Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian (Latin) and English.
The journal is in Open Access Journal mode. Full text of the journal “Historical Views” is freely available without restrictions. The journal allows authors to upload a final, published version of a manuscript in PDF format to an institutional repository and/or non-commercial database.

Authors must adhere to the technical guidelines for the preparation of the text, the Chicago Citation Style and ethical principles for the publication of the work. Otherwise, the works will be rejected or subsequently withdrawn. Time required for a paper’s publication (from receiving the application to the final publication) in the journal is four to five months.
Third persons can use articles from the journal in way not established by editorial policies or Creative Commons licence only if they receive permission by the publisher of the journal (requests can be sent to email address, cimoshis@gmail.com).
Articles published in the journal can be downloaded free of charge from the journal’s website and used in accordance with Creative Commons – Attribution – NonCommercial-NoDerivs 4.0 International licence (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/).
The Historical Views does not charge for Submission Charge or Article Processing Charge, that is, the manuscript submission, review, and publication work is free of charge.
